Such is the chain.
I'm kicking myself here as I couldn't go back and retake this shot before processing. But I think the background is yet again too blurred, no?
I guess it is up to the viewer - I really like the blur on this one compared to the sharp focus of the chain. I think (from what I was saying in some of your earlier shots) that when you had a on sharp subject kind of floating in the middle of the image where the rest of the photo was blurred it was kind of distracting but in this case the chain catches your eye and then the shape of the blurred out background leads me through the photo in a fluid moment. It does not appear distracting or out of place - it is a much more fluid composition...

I have no problems with background blur here.. i like the way the chain is poping out in the bottom corner diagonally, i usually like to place things diagonally when composing a photograph.

I like this shot. The chain tells me that the area beyond it is off limits or something like that and the blur of the background shows that.

Depends on your focus. The chain is a good focal point.
