Grand Study...Posted by Addey Kehinde (London, United Kingdom) on 19 November 2008 in Architecture. One of the oldest buildings I've ever visited, Cardiff Castle is over 2,000 years old. A true artifact, dating as far back as 75 AD, the Castle passed through the hands of many noble families until in 1766, it passed by marriage to the Bute family. This massive study is one of many of such grand rooms in the castle designed with different themes, by the the genius architect William Burges who was employed to transform the Castle lodgings. I discreetly shot this one from the hip.
